Cambridge is a vibrant city rich in culture. Home to the world famous University, it holds an
unrivalled reputation for being a centre of excellence within learning.
For a relatively small city, there are many things to see and do, including several art galleries, theatres and museums, as well as the renowned Fitzwilliam museum which houses worldclass collections of art and antiquities.
No visit to Cambridge would be complete without a trip along the River Cam in a punt – an age-old tradition in Cambridge. The Botanical Gardens are one of the great secret delights of the City and showcase some 8000 plant species.
Cambridge’s bustling centre is home to many thriving cafes, bookshops, restaurants and pubs. Its busy market has occupied the same site for over 700 years and daily sells a wide selection of fresh local produce.
The City’s diverse mix of breathtaking architecture includes examples from the Middle Ages to the present day. A guided tour of the city or riding on the open top bus will provide you with the best insight into the city’s geography and heritage.
