Dear Colleagues,
Distance Learning is, as we know, continually developing in every aspect. Time again we try to improve quality, but that’s not enough.
We all want quality courses, but we have to Make Quality Work!
There is so much literature to inform us, there are numerous consultants to advise us, and inspectorates to check and endorse us.
But does this attention to quality always translate into effective courses, particularly as new technologies offer new possibilities outside traditional techniques?
This year’s EADL Conference “Making Quality Work” will look at both standard practice and new developments in distance learning and ask “What really makes a course effective?”
The conference will focus on the following five themes:
Experts from many countries will share their experiences and views with the EADL community.
And of course there will also be time to meet colleagues to exchange information and to have information discussions.
I do not believe that it is necessary to tell you that the EADL conference is not only worth attending, but it is a must for everyone who is active in the field of distance Learning.
So it is enough to say:
See you on May 19th in Cambridge.
Till then.
Sincerely yours,
Dirk van der Mark,
EADL president
